The Kitchen Garden

A timeless form of art...an American tribute for WWII...your Grandmother's passion...

The kitchen garden is far more than meets the casual eye...

... a symbol of America the free,

... an exercise patch,

... a fresh meal,

... the splendid colors of nature,

... a butterfly haven,

... a classroom for small hands,

... and, peace for the stressed.

Plant a garden, pick a garden, shop at the local farmers' market to add both pleasure and taste to your next meal. Happy gardening.

One great thing about Bloomsbury’s breakfast is that fresh ingredients are used as much as possible. The eggs are delivered each Friday from the farm along with milk, butter and cheese. The jams are made at Bloomsbury. And the coffee blend was developed by Katherine Brown, the innkeeper. The Little River Roasting Company in Spartanburg, SC makes the blend and it calls the blend Bloomsbury. The Little River Roasting Company also sells it at its own store.

As the summer goes by, Bloomsbury uses herbs and tomatoes from its' own garden. A delight is when the figs are picked and used at breakfast for the fruit course. You can’t beat the breakfast at Bloomsbury.
